- Natural Variations: Saphire Lanka deals exclusively in natural, earth-mined gemstones, specializing in fine blue sapphires. Because these are natural geological formations, every gemstone possesses unique internal characteristics, inclusions, and color zoning.
- Digital Representation: We make every effort to display the colors, clarity, and dimensions of our gemstones with absolute accuracy using high-resolution photography and video. However, because digital screens vary in color calibration, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display perfectly matches the true stone in hand.
- Carat Weight Precision: All gemstone carat weights and dimensions are stated as precisely as possible, utilizing calibrated gemological scales.
2. Independent Certification & Grading Reports
- Authentication Guarantee: Premier investment-grade gemstones in our collection are accompanied by independent grading reports from world-renowned gemological authorities, such as GIA, GRS, or SSEF.
- Third-Party Reliance: These reports represent the expert, independent diagnostic opinions of the issuing laboratories at the time of examination. Saphire Lanka is not responsible for any minor variations in grading methodologies or future technological shifts utilized by these independent laboratories.
3. Custom Lapidary & Bespoke Cutting Services
- Custom Design Specifications: We offer bespoke cutting and precision faceting services, including tailored geometric shapes such as Hexagon, Trilliant, and Asscher cuts.
- Finality of Custom Cuts: Once a raw or rough crystal enters the cutting phase under your explicit design directives and approved specifications, the order becomes entirely custom-made. Consequently, custom lapidary orders are strictly non-refundable and exempt from standard return policies.
- Inclusion Risk Disclosure: When facetting or recutting unpolished or rough crystal material, natural internal stress lines or hidden inclusions may alter the final yield or layout. Our master lapidaries utilize maximum precision to optimize beauty and weight retention.
4. High-Value International Shipping & Logistics
- Fully Insured Transit: Due to the elite value of our natural sapphire collections, all international shipments are managed via secure, premium couriers (e.g., FedEx, DHL) and are backed by comprehensive transit insurance policy requirements until signed for by the recipient.
- Customs, Duties, and Taxes: The buyer is the importer of record and is solely responsible for any import duties, local taxes, customs clearance fees, or regulatory compliance protocols mandated by the destination country.
- Delivery Verification: All high-value packages strictly require a valid adult signature upon delivery. We do not ship to P.O. boxes under any circumstances.
5. Pricing, Payments, & Reservation Policies
- Currency and Payment: All quotes and transaction prices are finalized in the specified currency (typically USD or EUR) and must be settled via our secure, approved payment methods before shipment or custom cutting commences.
- Stone Holds & Reservations: Due to the singular, unique nature of one-of-a-kind natural sapphires, a gemstone cannot be held or reserved exclusively without a formal, non-refundable deposit or completed order processing.
6. Intellectual Property
- All content featured on this website—including brand logos, high-resolution media, descriptive copy, unique custom gem cut visuals, and layout designs—is the exclusive intellectual property of Saphire Lanka and is protected by international copyright laws. Any unauthorized replication or commercial reuse is strictly prohibited.
7. Limitation of Liability
- Saphire Lanka shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential financial losses, or punitive damages arising from the use of our products, delay in high-value international logistics, or custom clearance timelines. In all circumstances, our maximum liability is strictly capped at the total financial amount paid by the customer for the specific transaction in question.
8. Governing Law
- These Terms and Conditions and any transactional disputes arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Saphire Lanka is officially registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
